Notice is hereby given to the Municipal Electors of the Township of Adelaide Metcalfe.
Nominations in the Township of Adelaide Metcalfe will be accepted beginning on Monday, May 2, 2022 and ending at 2:00 pm on August 19, 2002, for the following offices for the Municipal Election to be held on October 24, 2022:

In accordance with the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, nominations must be filed using the prescribed forms, accompanied by the prescribed nomination filing fee. The filing fee is $200.00 for the offices of Mayor and $100.00 for all other offices. The filing fee is payable by cash, debit, certified cheque or money order.
A nomination must be signed by the candidate and may be filed in person or by an agent by booking an appointment with the Municipal Clerk, during regular business hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm) between May 2, 2022, and August 18, 2022.
In the event there is an insufficient number of certified candidates to fill the positions available in each municipality, nominations will be reopened by the appropriate Returning Officer, for the vacant positions only. Additional nomination papers would then be accepted between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2018.
Electors are hereby given notice that if a greater number of candidates are certified than are required to fill the offices, an election will be held and voting will be conducted by telephone/internet voting method. The Advance Voting period will commence on October 17, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. and run to October 23, 2022.
